General Practice Systems Developer and Support
Armed with an eclectic mix of skills and personal interests, Lynda joined Health Hawke’s Bay in June 2018, making a leap from the education sector to health.
Prior to her role at Health Hawke’s Bay, Lynda was an Education Advisor and Learning Technologist at EIT, bringing with her a suite of IT and professional development skills.
Lynda moved to Hawke’s Bay from Wellington with her husband in 1997 and returns regularly to visit their children who are now studying in the windy city. As part of the Information Services team, Lynda’s role includes reporting and systems development within the PHO, and systems support to practices in the region.
Our population is ageing, our community is growing with more ethnic diversity. Equity in health care has not been achieved.
Technology is influencing us more than ever before and consumer demand and expectation has changed. Our workforce needs to grow and change to reflect these changes in our society.
My role is to assist in developing our primary care health workforce to meet future expectation and need. I will work to reflect Health Hawkes Bay’s values of Tauwhiro, Rāranga te tira, He Kauanuanu and Ākina in all that I do.
I have a nursing background and have worked in many areas of healthcare in my thirty year career, I look forward to working together to make the changes we need to see to improve primary health care delivery in Hawke’s Bay.
